That which does not kill us makes us stronger.
2 1/2 years ago my dad suffered a massive stroke. Throughout his life he survived a heart attack, various surgeries, multiple mini strokes(TIA’s), been told he may never walk again, struggle of doctors saying he has reached plateau, and dealt with struggles of overcoming life. I’m glad to have been with my dad all the way because he’s one of my greatest role model in life (besides my mom).
He can now walk a little faster, attempt to drive a car, participated and won a golf tournament. Yesterday after a long hiatus of therapy red tape, he was so ecstatic he was able to resume pushing forward. Thank you dad for reminding me that even though life can give you obstacles that it should only push you to work harder. Be happy on days like this.
