Day 52-57: Post Vacation Blues

I honestly didn’t know there was such a thing as “Post Vacation Blues”.

That bitter-sweet feeling of being home from a memorable trip. Everyone gets it at some point. It’s a mixture of jet lag, sadness, facing reality, and relief you are home all at the same time. Depending on your experiences, will determine how long your post vacay blues will last.

Unfortunately, for me it lasted over a week because I had to catch up on my blog writing. Doing so made me relive all of my amazing moments from my trip! However, here are some tips that helped me get over my blues:

  • Sleep
  • Hang out with your friends
  • Sleep
  • Share your stories from your trip. You are allowed at least a couple of days to get it out of your system.
  • More sleep
  • Exercise
  • Get back into your routine.

Eventually with enough rest and time you will get back into the routine. Because like all vacations, they come to an end.

Post Vacation blues can be a good thing though! They make us excited for our next great adventure! So even though it took me a while to get over it.. I’m ever so grateful for the motivation to book my next ticket.
